Wrapped yarns consist of a central core (e.g., elastane or dyed yarn) that is covered with a silver-plated Shieldex yarn. This structure ensures continuous conductivity, thermal transfer, and antistatic performance throughout the entire yarn. The silver coating is firmly anchored in the fiber, maintaining conductivity even in areas exposed to mechanical stress. Wrapped yarns can be processed through weaving, knitting, sewing, or embroidery and are easily integrated into complex textile architectures.
