Environmental Responsibility

Environmental responsibility and regulatory accuracy are important considerations in the materials we support and distribute. V Technical Textiles works with select products that meet specific U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) requirements when antimicrobial claims are involved.

Shieldex® 44/10 Registered is a silver-plated nylon yard that is EPA-registered under EPA Reg. No. 103786. This registration applies specifically to the yarn’s antimicrobial function within the treated article itself, providing protection against odor-causing bacteria, mold, and mildew in the textile product. This registration does not imply public health or medical claims.
