Shieldex® Yarns – Twisted
Twisted yarns for strength and versatility
Silver-plated twisted yarns combine strength, flexibility, and conductivity in one durable, high-performance structure. Made from multiple intertwined filaments of polyamide 6 or 6.6, they feature enhanced tensile strength and improved electrical and thermal conductivity compared to single yarns. The pure silver coating is firmly anchored through a specialized metallization process, ensuring uniform conductivity even at the twisted points.
They offer antistatic, thermal, and electrical properties and are washable up to 30°C. Available in various constructions, Shieldex twisted yarns are adaptable to diverse technical requirements. Their balanced combination of mechanical and electrical performance makes them ideal for applications in the automotive industry, smart textiles, and conductive fabrics—especially for sensors, heating elements, ESD applications, and textile electrodes.
